Exhibitions Day was created by IAEE and the Exhibitions Mean Business campaign to foster a stronger relationship with and build awareness among federal legislators and other government influencers. As a representative of the exhibitions and events industry, the Exhibitions Mean Business campaign and its supporters have come together to ensure these regulatory audiences are aware of the issues impacting our industry and what measures could be taken to help address these matters.

Details: Learning has become a vital part of most meetings, events and exhibitions. Whether formal, such as credit granting continuing education programs, training sessions or seminars, or informal, such as exhibitor-provided demonstrations, presentations or networking, they add significant value to the face-to-face experience. While planning and managing exhibitions and meetings share some common aspects, competent planning and management of meetings requires special knowledge and skills. Exhibition managers may be called upon to work closely with their organization’s meeting and education manager and should be knowledgeable about the essential aspects of meetings in all of their various formats.

Details: IAEE’s Krakoff Leadership Institute, formerly the Future Leaders Institute, provides the intelligence and connection tomorrow’s leaders need in order to discuss issues with key decision makers and build strategic business relationships. The Institute for IAEE members only, develops leadership skills and broad industry knowledge for future and current leaders of the exhibitions and events industry, and it creates a close support network among participants and enhances motivational and communication skills. Applications are due June 17.

CEM Week

Date: August 8-12
   
Location: Orlando, FL
   
Details: CEM Week provides participants the only opportunity to take five courses and complete five exams in one week. Along with being able to complete over half of the program in a condensed timeframe, previous attendees have said, "The interaction with other classmates is what makes this worthwhile." Group discussions and class exercises are structured so students actively participate and gain practical knowledge of the course material.
