Welcome to the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events

Howdy

Don’t let the name fool you – we represent the Oklahoma City, Tulsa and New Orleans area as well! We continue to work to bring these regions together to form one of the strongest chapters in the country.

Under solid leadership over the past years, most recently with Lindsey Moeller as Chair, the chapter has made great strides to be more active. I hope to continue this momentum with our new team of volunteers poised to take on 2017.

The board met in December to kick off the new year, and I am excited to share that we have the most help ever – new team members with fresh ideas and renewed excitement for our upcoming educational and networking events. We hope you can join us for several of them this year and expand your network and ours!

Our Young Professionals Committee is very active, with several meetings throughout the year bringing the younger generation together to network and share innovative ideas and increase their connections. If you fit the YP group, please join us at our next event to meet others, just like you, getting their start and making their mark!

Please keep an eye out for our emails (they come from me), and find the most up-to-date chapter info on FacebookTwitterLinkedInInstagram, and YouTube.

See you in the field!

What they said

What they said

  • Our Chapter has a hard focus on continually recruiting people to help our committees and boards. We also encourage a free flow of ideas that let everyone have ownership in the Board. We have a very encouraging group!

Message board

I received the following asking for me to take action.  I have laid in phone calls, emails, and written letters to my reps and to our Governor.  I urge you to do the same!

This request is of utmost importance as this morning the Texas Lt. Governor, Dan Patrick, held a press conference indicating that the House had 48 hours to pass two bills (including the bathroom bills) or he will force a special session. At this point, pressure on the Governor is critical. In addition to State Representatives that various industry groups have spoken to, we need to have as many people as possible reach out to the Governor’s office requesting he veto the bathroom bill (SB 6).
